The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization whose mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. With 38 local chapters across the country, they provide both local and national education and support. They have raised and invested close to $300 million in research for cures. This funding has enabled many groundbreaking treatments, improved the quality of care, and brought hope to countless lives through programs like Take Steps.
Coping with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis can be extremely challenging and isolating. Take Steps is a family-friendly fundraising event where patients, loved ones, friends and supporters EMPOWER and INSPIRE each other to continue the fight against these devastating diseases. Patients and their families are able to CONNECT with the greater IBD Community, helping them understand that they are never alone in this fight.
Take Steps has brought together more than 300,000 people and raised over $85 million to help further the Foundation's mission. The money raised goes toward breakthrough research, public and professional education, and patient support services in communities across the nation.
