Gaurav Chand, DO, is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, with 13 locations in the greater Charlotte area, including: Belmont, Charlotte, Uptown, Concord, Davidson, Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, University, and Pineville, North Carolina. He sees adult patients at four of the practice locations, including Matthews, Monroe-Union County, Carolina Digestive Endoscopy Center in Charlotte, and Carolina Endoscopy Center in Monroe.
Dr. Chand specializes in endoscopic procedures, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and prevention of colon cancer. He is also focused on the long-term management of inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver diseases. Dr. Chand provides in-office treatment for hemorrhoids using the painless CRH O’Regan banding system™.
Dr. Chand earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Detroit. He then completed his internal medicine residency at St. John Providence Health System through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. After his residency, Dr. Chand moved to North Carolina to fulfill his gastroenterology fellowship training at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton.
Dr. Chand is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
To better communicate with the diverse communities in North Carolina, Dr. Chand is fluent in conversational Hindi. When he’s not at work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife, daughters Capri & Meera, dog, family and friends, and trying a variety of new foods. He’s an avid Detroit sports fan and likes hiking, playing basketball and golfing in his free time.
