Dr. Gaurav Chand is a fellowship-trained adult gastroenterologist. His professional interests include, but are not limited to, performing endoscopic procedures, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, colon cancer prevention, and long-term management of inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver diseases. Dr. Chand also offers a painless, in-office treatment for hemorrhoids using the CRH O’Regan banding system.
He is a native Michigander and completed his medical school education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by his internal medicine residency at St. John Providence Health System through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He moved to North Carolina to complete his gastroenterology training at Carolinas HealthCare System-Blue Ridge.
He now lives with his wife and their dog in Charlotte. He enjoys traveling, trying all types of foods, and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid Detroit sports fan and likes to hike, golf, and play basketball in his free time. Additionally, Dr. Chand is fluent in conversational Hindi.
