Preston Purdum III, MD, FACG, is a board-certified physician at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, a private medical practice with 13 locations in the greater Charlotte area, including: Belmont, Concord, Davidson, Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, and Pineville, North Carolina.
As a practitioner at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, since 1995, Dr. Purdum sees patients at the Belmont office, Charlotte office, Carolina Digestive Endoscopy Center in Charlotte, and Carolina Endoscopy Center in Pineville.
Dr. Purdum earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the Medical College of Virginia. Today, Dr. Purdum is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Purdum takes a patient-first approach to care. He is an award-winning provider, earning both the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award (2010-2012) and the Patient’s Choice Award (2011-2012).
Dr. Purdum is married and has two children. He is a proud supporter of the Brookstone Schools of Charlotte. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, music, and soccer. His favorite sports team is the Carolina Panthers.
